Profile
What inspired you to get into this work?
Born in the Mikawachi pottery production area, I grew up watching the craftsmen at work. As an adult, I reconfirmed the appeal of pottery and wanted to pass on the art of painting.
What do you want to appeal the most in your work?
In addition to the delicate underglaze blue of Mikawachi ware, the gold and color painting techniques of Mikawachi ware from the end of the Edo period and the export period are also used.
What do you keep in mind when creating your work?
I would like to express feminine expression by adding color and gold painting to delicate underglaze blue ware.
What do you want to achieve from now on? Or how do you want to live?
I would like to discover traditional painting that can be enjoyed by the younger generation in the future.
