Biography
Born in Ueda, a former silkworm manufacturer and now a weaver of Ueda pongee silk, which is used in all processes of dyeing, warping, and weaving.
Studied Chinese at university and went to Beijing University of Foreign Languages for one year. After graduation, he entered the training school attached to the theater company, the Advance Theater Company. Studied various aspects of theater. The following year, he joined the Advance Theater Company. In 2004, he left the company. During a short period of study in Ireland and travel in Europe, he was reminded of the beauty of Japanese culture and decided to enter his family's business of Ueda Tsumugi (silk pongee).
In 2016, he was certified as a traditional craftsman of Shinshu Tsumugi General Division.
Awards
He has won many prizes at the National Exhibition of Traditional Crafts, the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition, and the Silk Museum Exhibition.

What inspired you to get into this work?
While studying abroad in Ireland, she experienced firsthand the beauty of Japanese culture while traveling in Europe.
What do you want to appeal the most in your work?
The fabrics are made of a durable fabric that is so durable that the lining can be replaced three times, and is also known as "three-lined striped fabric.
What do you keep in mind when creating your work?
Creating work that is "fun to look at and fun to wear.
We enjoy creating with a humble heart.
What do you want to achieve from now on? Or how do you want to live?
Creating works of art that are close to both people and things.
As a creator involved in traditional crafts, as a woman, and as a person living in the land, I would like to act on my role to bequeath to future generations.
