Profile
What inspired you to get into this work?
After studying abroad in France for two months in my early twenties, I realized that I was free to make my own choices in life. I also realized the beauty of Japanese art, and after returning to Japan, I started taking pottery classes.
What do you want to appeal the most in your work?
I create many vessels with patterns made by embedding or pasting familiar plants and leaves around my house into the vessels.
My goal is to create objects that remind me of the sensations of light, wind, and fragrance that I experience in nature in my daily life.
What do you keep in mind when creating your work?
I try to create vessels with a sense of receptiveness, such as a little decoration or looseness, while remembering that a vessel is a thing for a purpose and is completed when something is placed inside it.
What do you want to achieve from now on? Or how do you want to live?
I don't have much of an idea of what I am aiming for.
I am just trying to pursue a better way of living day by day, just like a tree or a plant, while being lost in my own life.
I hope to live while emanating warm energy.
