1978 Born in Mashiko Town, Tochigi Prefecture
2000 Graduated from Tochigi Ceramic Technology Support Center
2001 Graduated from the same institute's research course (glaze course)
Studied under his father Katsuhiko, the fourth generation
2022 Certified as a traditional craftsman (Mashiko pottery roiro molding)
Currently working at Enokida Kiln

What inspired you to get into this work?
My family has been in the kiln for generations, and I have always loved making things.
I have always loved making things, so it was a natural progression for me.
What do you want to appeal the most in your work?
Fusion and harmony of tradition and modernity with Mashiko clay and glazes
What do you keep in mind when creating your work?
Ease of use and enjoyment.
What do you want to achieve from now on? Or how do you want to live?
I want to be involved in Mashiko pottery so that I can give back as much as possible to the people who raised me.
And I will always remember to be grateful and strive to spend my time with love.
