Biography
After working in advertising production and magazine editing, she entered the Textile Design Department of Bunka Fashion College in 2002.

What inspired you to get into this work?
My job in my 20s was quite hard work, so I decided to switch to a job that I can continue to do as I get older.
I entered a vocational school for weaving as a side trip before I started my new job.
I was convinced that weaving could be a lifelong job.

What do you want to appeal the most in your work?
Using high quality silk threads, I create original silk pongees that are only one of a kind in the world.
I dye and weave by hand using traditional herb and tree dyeing techniques.
What do you keep in mind when creating your work?
We dye carefully with good materials and weave with the wearer in mind.
